Carefully chosen materials

Lyocell

Lyocell is made from wood pulp, primarily from the eucalyptus tree. The tree is a very fast growing tree that does not require irrigation. At the same time, the tree delivers high yield, which overall contribute to great environmental benefits. The fibre is produced in a closed circuit where more than 99% of the water and solvents can be recycled. Lyocell is soft, breathable, light and comfortable.

Recycled polyester

The most widely used source of the raw material is PET bottles and raw material waste from the manufacturing industry. PET is the same material used for clear plastic water bottles. The process requires much less energy and water compared to conventional polyester. The polyester fibre is extremely strong and durable.

BCI

The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a global non-profit organization that strives to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it. BCI cotton reduces the environmental impact of cotton production, while improving the livelihoods of cotton farmers and the economic development of cotton-producing areas.

Organic cotton

Organic cotton is produced in accordance with organic agricultural standards without the use of toxic pesticides and fertilizers. These agricultural methods improve the health of the cotton farmers and the environment. The organic cotton is characterized by being a soft, absorbent and breathable fibre.

Organic linen

Organic linen is produced without chemical pesticides or fertilizers. These agricultural methods improve the health of the cotton farmers and the environment. Organic linen is light, breathable, naturally textured and has good strength.

Lenzing modal

Modal fibres come from sustainably cultivated forest plantations. The fibre is produced by Lenzing and compared to conventional modal, there is a high recycling rate for the chemicals used and a large reduction of wastewater. Modal is breathable and silky.

EcoVero ™

EcoVero ™ is a fibre made from wood pulp from sustainable forest plantations that are independently certified by industry-leading associations. The fibre is produced in a closed circuit where water and chemicals are recycled. It uses 50% less energy and water than generic viscose. EcoVero is soft and breathable.

FSC Viscose

The FSC is a global, non-profit organization dedicated to increasing responsible forest management worldwide. The material is soft, breathable and absorbent.

Tencel (Lenzing)

Tencel fibre is made from sustainable wood sources, harvested from certified and controlled sources. The fibre is produced in an environmentally responsible and closed system where 99% of the water and solvents used in production are recycled and reused. Tencel is a circular fibre consisting of up to 10% post-consumer cotton waste.

Leather Working Group

Leather Working Group is an online stakeholder group in the leather industry. Their purpose is to improve the environmental impact of the leather industry by certifying and assessing leather manufacturers. In addition, a rating system has been created - gold, silver and bronze – that should help the tanneries ensuring improvements as well as compliance with environmental requirements and performance and promote sustainable and appropriate environmental practices.

Responsible Wool Standard

Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) is a global standard for animal welfare and agricultural practice in sheep farming. Wool is warm, soft, long-lasting and has a great ability to regulate body temperature.
